Mrs. Saylors

RALEIGH — Elizabeth Kirkpatrick Bazemore of Raleigh and Jason Michael Saylors of Raleigh exchanged promises June 5 at 4 p.m.

Dr. Gary Fulton and Dr. Albert G. Edwards officiated at the double-ring ceremony at White Memorial Presbyterian Church.

The bride is the daughter of Claudia Bennett Bazemore of Raleigh and David Henry Bazemore of Cary. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Claude Berkley Bennett of Raleigh, Iris White Bazemore of Ahoskie and the late Henry Lyon Bazemore.

Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Michael Clark Saylors of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of Mrs. Paul Dewey Schiller of Raleigh, Luther Davis Saylors of Fuquay-Varina, the late Mr. Schiller and the late Dorothy C. Saylors.

Escorted by her brother, Jonathan Andrew Bazemore, the bride wore a strapless A-line gown of Dutchess silk satin with contrasting bias trim at the waistline and hemline. It had a chapel-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a veil with matching silk bias trim. She carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Taylor Bryce Anderton of New York, N.Y., was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Beverly Elizabeth Bizzell of Greenville, Carson Case Harris of Washington D.C. and Kathleen Brothers Smith of Knoxville, Tenn.

Michael Clark Saylors was best man. Ushers were Thomas Eugene Gallo of Morehead City, Joshua Emory Hammond, Jason Wa Marlow and Charles Allen York of Raleigh and Brian Christopher Vinson of Louisville, Ky. Groomsmen were Benjamin Kyle Saylors and Paul Davis Saylors of Goldsboro and Jonathan Andrew Bazemore of Raleigh.

Hadley Blake Daniel and Cameron Miller Daniel were flower girls. Taylor Magnum Daniel was ring bearer.

Betty Hubbard and Cathy Edwards directed the ceremony. Ivy Robinson was wedding planner. Presiding at the register was Bobbi Michelle Guthrie.

Morgan Elizabeth Brinkley distributed programs. Dr. and Mrs. Charles H. Anderton greeted guests.

A program of wedding music was provided by Emily Burgess, organist, and Van Zimmerman, trumpeter.

After a wedding trip to St. Barthelemy, French West Indies, the couple will reside in Norfolk, Va.

The bride is a graduate of Needham B. Broughton High School of Raleigh and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She will attend Eastern Virginia Medical School of Virginia. She was presented at the 1998 Terpsichorean Ball. She is a member of the Junior League of Raleigh. She is employed as a clinical research coordinator with Wake Heart Associates of Raleigh.

The groom graduated from Goldsboro High School and North Carolina Wesleyan College. He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity. He is employed in management with Great Outdoor Provision Co. of Raleigh.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Longview-The Poe House.

Mr. and Mrs. Howard Benton, Beverly Benton and Lynn Hoggard held a Sunday morning brunch June 6 at the Benton home.

On June 4, Mrs. Charles H. Anderton, Mrs. Malcolm E. Harris and Mrs. Albert Brothers held a bridesmaids’ luncheon at the Anderton home.

The groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner June 4 at EVOO of Raleigh.

Dr. and Mrs. James Tift Mann held a barbecue June 3 at Milburnie Fishing Club of Raleigh.

Family and friends held a summer supper May 15 at the home of Mike and Martha Saylors.

On May 2, Barbara Hayes, Nancy Barefoot, Charlotte Harris and Lesli Garrison held a lingerie shower at Carolina Country Club of Raleigh.

Benjamin Kyle Saylors, Paul Davis Saylors, Jason Wade Marlow and Joshua Emory Hammond held a stock-the-bar party April 17 at Churchill’s of Raleigh.

On April 10, Beverly Elizabeth Bizzell held an around-the-house shower at Vivo of Raleigh.
