Lizabeth Lynn Terry of Pikeville and Michael Edward John Perkins of Pikeville exchanged marriage vows May 15 at 4 p.m.

The Rev. Rick Ward officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Saulston United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Ramon and Gayle Robinson of Tyler, Texas, and Larry Keith Terry of Goldsboro. She is the granddaughter of Fred and Fonda Haney of Tyler and Larry and Kay Terry of Perryville, Ark.

Mark and Renee Smith of Princeton and Marvin and Emily Perkins of Pikeville are parents of the groom. He is the grandson of Kathryn Vincent of Goldsboro, Larry and Patty Hundley of Grand Prairie, Texas, and Joe and Lola Perkins of Pikeville.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white chiffon dress with a V-neck front, a scoop neck back and an oval chapel-length train.

For her headpiece, she chose a pearl and rhinestone tiara. She carried a bouquet of yellow lilies, white daisies and white wedding bell flowers tied with a yellow ribbon.

Bridgett Merhan, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Stefanie Terry, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Alyse DeSelms, niece of the bride, and Leigh Mills and Charis Cox, friends of the bride.

Joseph Perkins was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Dave Walston, Brandon Pelt, Adam Lanier, Joel Waddell and David Gurley, friends of the groom.

Alexis Perkins was flower girl. Austin Kornegay was ring bearer.

Martha Smith directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register was Brandi Perkins. Madeline Smith distributed programs.

A program of wedding music was provided by Camille Frederick, pianist, and Noel Merhan, vocalist.

After a wedding trip to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple is residing in Pikeville.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Wayne Community College with an associate’s degree of applied science in business administration, marketing and retailing concentration. She is employed as an administrative assistant with Furniture Fair.

The groom graduated from Eastern Wayne High School in 1998. He attended Wayne Community College for turfgrass management. He is employed with Smith Construction.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

Marvin and Emily Perkins held a rehearsal dinner May 14 at the Wayne County Wildlife Pond.

On May 13, Stefanie Terry held a lingerie shower at her home.

The groom, his father and brother and friends held a bachelor weekend May 8.

April 30 through May 2, Kathryn Vincent and Renee Smith held a bachelorette weekend in Atlantic Beach.

Kathryn Vincent and Mark and Renee Smith held a couple’s shower April 17 at the Vincent home.

On April 3, Emily Perkins and ladies of Saulston United Methodist Church held a miscellaneous shower.
