Meredith Leigh Killette of Goldsboro and Kyle Gregory Karcher exchanged promises May 22 at 6 p.m.

Pastor Alfred Wright officiated at the double-ring ceremony at Madison Avenue Baptist Church.

Terri K. Killette of Goldsboro and Jeffrey Killette of LaGrange are parents of the bride. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. George C. Kornegay Sr. of North Topsail Beach and Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Killette of LaGrange.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. K. Wayne Karcher of Goldsboro. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer L. Chandler of Dyersburg, Tenn., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth J. Karcher of New York, N.Y.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin strapless gown with a fitted bodice detailed with crystals and beading. It had a royal train with embroidery and beading.

For her headpiece, she chose a cathedral-length veil attached to a rhinestone tiara. She carried a cascading bouquet of lilies and roses.

Jaime K. Wiggins, sister of the bride, was matron of honor. Lindsay B. Killette, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Brandy Pate of Goldsboro, friend of the bride; Caroline Karcher of New Bern, sister-in-law of the groom; Jaime Perry of LaGrange and Tracey Hux and Sara Sutton of Goldsboro, friends of the couple; and Susi Boyd of Greenville, cousin of the bride.

K. Wayne Karcher was best man. Groomsmen were Adam Brushaber of Gurnee, Ill., friend of the groom; Dusty Kornegay of Conoga Park, Calif., cousin of the bride; Scott Wiggins of LaGrange, brother-in-law of the bride; Lt.j.g. Dave Walston of Pensacola, Fla., friend of the bride; and Brent Wiggins of LaGrange and Westley Dean and Kevin Coghill of Goldsboro, friends of the couple.

Honorary bridesmaids were Vickie Perry of LaGrange and Christa Wright of Goldsboro.

Tatiana Katres of Lake Villa, Ill., friend of the couple, was the junior bridesmaid. Alex Katres of Lake Villa was the junior groomsman.

Raegynn and Savannah Wright were flower girls. Mason Wiggins, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.

Perrye Smith directed the ceremony. Presiding at the register were Mr. and Mrs. Michael Ginn, cousins of the bride. Taylor, Scott and Chad Ginn distributed programs.

Tripp Dail of Goldsboro and Georg Katres of Lake Villa were acolytes.

A program of wedding music was provided by David Periconi, organist; Jill Howell, Jay Sauls, James Sauls and Jeffrey Killette, father of the bride, vocalists; and the bride.

After a wedding trip to St. Thomas, the couple will reside in Goldsboro.

The bride is a 1998 graduate of Charles B. Aycock High School, a 2002 graduate of Mount Olive College with a bachelor of science degree in human resource development and a 2004 graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in elementary education. She is a former Miss Goldsboro.

The groom graduated from Warren High School of Illinois in 1998 and Mount Olive College in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in accounting. He is employed as a plant accountant with Case Farms.

Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at Lane Tree Goldsboro. Mr. and Mrs. Doyce Barnes greeted guests.

On May 21, the groom’s parents held a rehearsal dinner at Walnut Creek Country Club. The groom chose this time to present gifts to his attendants.

Jaime Wiggins, sister of the bride, held a pantry shower May 14 at her home.

On May 8, a bridal luncheon was held at Dianes Cafe. The bride chose this time to present gifts to her attendants.

Co-workers of the groom held a miscellaneous shower May 2 at Daniels Methodist Church.

On April 24, Brandy Pate, friend of the bride, held a lingerie shower.

Jane Mull held a Pampered Chef shower April 8.

On April 2, Doyce and Sherll Barnes held a lawn and garden shower at their home.

Family of the bride held a miscellaneous shower March 27 at Bethel Methodist Church.

On March 17, friends and family held a miscellaneous shower at Eagle Heights Baptist Church.

Lindsay Killette, sister of the bride, held a Christmas shower Dec. 18 at her home.

On Aug. 10, friends and family of the couple held an engagement party at the home of the bride.
