NEWTON GROVE -- Turnovers and yellow hankies.

Spring Creek committed costly mistakes and endured a 33-6, non-conference defeat against Hobbton on Friday evening.

The Gators lost three fumbles, allowed an interception and drew 13 flags for 76 yards.

Lamis Jones accounted for SC's lone touchdown -- a short 4-yard burst in the opening quarter.

Dominique Morse led the Gators' ground game with 65 yards on seven carries. Javon Newsome and Jordan Ammons rushed for 58 and 49 yards, respectively.

Lucas Barfield completed a 17-yard pass to Morse and led the defense with six tackles.

Spring Creek (1-3 overall) returns to action Sept. 21 at Midway in the East Central 2-A Conference opener for both teams.
