PREP FOOTBALL: North Duplin runs over Lejeune

CALYPSO -- North Duplin piled up nearly 400 yards of total offense and continued its recent mastery over Lejeune, 56-22, at H.E. Grubbs Field on Friday evening.
The Rebels claimed their fifth straight win over the Devilpups and 13th overall in 20 meetings since the series began in 1981.
Freshman Luis Olivos rambled for a career-high 113 yards and two touchdowns on just six carries. The 154-pounder broke free for a 58-yard gallop in the opening quarter, and tacked on an 8-yard TD run with 1:47 left before halftime. Olivos' two-point conversion gave the Rebels a 35-6 lead at the break.
Kijah Blow collected 60 yards and two second-quarter touchdowns on runs of 3 and 26 yards.
Saul Mendoza churned out 65 yards and a TD on six carries, and successfully booted five of six PAT attempts on the night.
DJ Simmons carried the pigskin four times and scored three TDs.
Gage Outlaw completed three passes, including a 12-yard pass to Simmons just three minutes to the third quarter.
North Duplin (3-1 overall) entertains Chocowinity Southside next Friday.
