PREP VOLLEYBALL: Thomas has 12 kills in Golden Falcons' loss

PIKEVILLE -- Abbey Thomas provided nearly half of Charles B. Aycock's offense with 12 kills in a 22-25, 17-25, 14-25 loss to perennial powerhouse and Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference foe D.H. Conley on Tuesday evening.
Victoria Patnaude cranked out eight kills and Daelyn Brock posted five kills for the Golden Falcons, who had 30 kills as a team.
Thomas and Mckenzie Norris combined for seven aces. Norris passed out 11 assists, while Jenna Oliver distributed 17 in the three-set loss.
Four Golden Falcons registered double digits in digs -- Taylor Gay (17), Brock (12), Audrey Dail (10) and Thomas (10). CBA had 70 digs as a team.
Aycock (4-7 overall, 0-3 ECC 3-A/4-A) travels to arch rival Eastern Wayne on Thursday.
