PREP GIRLS' TENNIS: Spring Creek cruises past Princeton

SEVEN SPRINGS -- Spring Creek cruised on the first five singles courts and turned back Princeton, 8-1, on a humid afternoon at "The Swamp."
Top-seeded Amanda Haggerty, Ivey Rouse, Vanessa Southerland, Natalie Slye and Savanna Willis each emerged victorious in pro-set (eight-game) singles play. Haggerty did not lose a game, while Willis dropped just one.
Haggerty-Rouse, Southerland-Slye and Willis-Tiffany Taylor swept the doubles courts.
Princeton won at No. 6 singles.
The Gators (1-0 overall) open East Central 2-A play next Tuesday at reigning league champ East Duplin.
