NEWTON GROVE -- Rosewood opened Carolina 1-A Conference play with a 25-18, 25-16, 25-17 win over Hobbton on Tuesday afternoon.

Kaitlyn Kincaid passed out 20 assists.

Braylee Butts logged 11 kills, five service aces and two digs. Laine Marak contributed five kills, two aces and two digs.

Rosewood's team stat line -- 16 digs, five blocks and 25 assists.

The Eagles (3-5 overall) travel to Union on Sept. 4.
