PREP VOLLEYBALL: Rebels dealt first loss of season

CALYPSO -- North Duplin launched its Carolina 1-A Conference season with a 14-25, 14-25, 25-21, 9-25 setback to Neuse Charter on Tuesday afternoon.
Callie Thornton and Gretta Lee had six and five kills, respectively. Thornton also served three aces.
Cassy King dished out 15 assists and had three aces.
Starr Jaco, Logan Jones, King and Thornton each logged seven digs defensively. Hannah Martin registered six digs.
Jamilyn Wallace, Samantha Beavers and Lee each had one block.
The Rebels fell to 4-1 overall this season.
