Volleyball: South Johnston d. Goldsboro 25-21, 25-18 -- Dyamond George led the visiting Cougars with four blocks and five kills.
Volleyball: Southern Wayne d. Kinston -- Freshman Allie Lane (four assists, two aces), freshman Katie Toler (four aces), junior Rayanne Taylor (three aces, one kill) and freshman Lacer Warters (two kills) each contributed to the Saints' road win Tuesday.
Volleyball: Rosewood d. Hobbton 25-20, 25-11 -- Alyssa Smothers recorded six assists and four aces in the Eagles' conference opener. Mackenzie Amodeo provided four aces and four kills. Alexis Dudley had four digs.
Volleyball: D.H. Conley d. Eastern Wayne 25-6, 25-0 -- Vondalyn Swain and Mackinzie Ham had five digs apiece for the Warriors.
