LITTLEFIELD -- Up and down.
That seems to be the calling card of the Charles B. Aycock volleyball team this season.
Ayden-Grifton grounded the Golden Falcons 28-26, 25-21, 25-10 on Monday afternoon, which snapped CBA's modest two-match win streak.
Daelyn Brock and Lydia Butler emerged as Aycock's offensive leaders with nine and seven kills, respectively. Setters Makenzie Norris and Jenna Oliver distributed 11 assists apiece among six players.
Abbey Thomas served three aces, posted two blocks and recorded a team-high 10 digs on defense.
Victoria Patnaude provided two blocks.
The Golden Falcons (4-5 overall) open their Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference season today at New Bern.
