Goldsboro prevailed on all singles and doubles courts, and completed its regular-season sweep of Rosewood, 9-0, at Herman Park on a hot Monday afternoon.
The teams played eight-game (pro) sets due to the steamy conditions.
Top-seeded Grace Boros posted an 8-0 shutout. Third-seeded Crystal Golden and fifth-seeded Megan Kirby each dropped just one game in their respective match.
Rosewood tested the Cougars (3-1 overall) on three courts.
Second-seeded Rachael Johnson escaped the Eagles' Kailey Hilton 9-7. Fourth-seeded Caitlyn Zawadski outlasted Lexi Clucas 8-5. Sixth-seeded Kortni Gerkin turned back Joey Martin 8-6.
Boros-Johnson, Golden-Zawadski and Kirby-Gerkin combined to lose just two games in doubles action.
Goldsboro visits perennial 2-A powerhouse Greene Central on Wednesday.
