RACING: Nahunta Dragway results

Fremont's Greg Glover emerged as the top driver in the Modified race contested at Nahunta Dragway on Saturday evening. Goldsboro's William "Jaws" Alston finished runner-up. Newport's Ross Gould advanced to the semifinals. A total of 24 cars entered the event.
The Junior Dragsters invaded the 1/8-mile track and Clayton's Kaylee Creech (bottom photo) took the top spot. Sims' Carson Perry took second place. Benson's Melanie Sheets reached the semifinals. Dawson Wiggins and Austin Adams were eliminated in the quarterfinal round.
