LEGION BASEBALL: Game Day Update

When: Saturday
Where: Overton Field, Pitt Community College
Opponents: Jacksonville and Wallace in the Area I vs. Area II Challenge
Time: 1:30 and 4:30 p.m.
Last meeting: WC Post 11 and Wilmington Post 10 last met in an elimination-round game in the 2014 N.C. Senior American Legion state tournament. Wilmington won 5-3. WC has beaten Wallace twice by the 10-run rule this season.
Series: Wayne County is 20-46 all-time against Wilmington.
On deck: Sunday, WC Post concludes the Challenge with a mid-afternoon contest against Jacksonville. It's the first meeting between the two programs since 2008. Game is 4:30 p.m.
