NEW BERN -- Senior Star Bell-Freeman scored 14 points on 4 of 6 shooting to help New Bern slip past Charles B. Aycock on Tuesday during first-round play of the ECC 3A/4A girls' basketball tournament.
Cassandra Lassiter and Hannah Vinson led CBA with seven points apiece, while Abbey Thomas finished with six points.
New Bern now stands 10-13 on the season.
C.B. Aycock finished its campaign with a 4-17 overall record.
