DUDLEY -- Antonio Broadie and Demetric Wright scored 15 points apiece to lead Southern Wayne past county rival Eastern Wayne on Tuesday during opening-round action of the ECC 3A/4A boys' basketball tournament.
Wright's effort also included six boards, four assists and four steals. Junior guard Deandre Wright also played well for the Saints, finishing with 14 points.
Eastern Wayne finished its season with a 9-15 overall record.
Southern Wayne (7-17) will face regular-season champ South Central on Thursday in Winterville.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
