Basketball -- WCDS rolls at MLK Showcase

WILSON -- Marcus Metcalf scored a team-high 23 points on Monday as Wayne Country Day turned back Grace Christian, 78-56, at the MLK Showcase at Greenfield School.
Lindwood Grandy also factored for the Chargers, contributing 19 points and 10 rebounds. Jaden Cooper rounded out the WCDS scorebook with 14 points, nine assists and eight rebounds.
The victory moved WCDS to 11-9 on the season. It next faces rival Wayne Christian today.
Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m.
