PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock landed four players in double figures on Wednesday, turning back ECC 3A and Wayne County rival Eastern Wayne by a count of 65-54.
The hosts, led by 19 points from senior guard Eli Batts, broke open a close ball game through three stanzas with a 21-point outburst over the final eight minutes.
Senior Tayquan Hampton also played well for CBA, scoring 11 points. Rakilen Butler and Marquez Farmer contributed 10 points apiece.
The victory moved C.B. Aycock to 7-7 overall and 2-2 in league play. It next sees the floor on Friday at South Central.
Eastern Wayne, which fell to 5-10 overall (1-3 ECC), must travel to J.H. Rose.
