INDOOR TRACK --Powder Blue runners excel at Four Oaks

FOUR OAKS -- Charles B. Aycock had several athletes fair well recently on Wednesday at South Johnston High School.

Marquard Fedderson placed second in the triple jump, stamping out a distance of 34.5 feet. Arlanda Faulkner took first place in the long and triple jump events with distances of 16 feet and 34 feet, seven inches, respectively, before finishing first in the 55 meter dash with a time of 8.69 seconds.

Faulker will participate in all three events during the N.C. High School Athletic Association state championship in February.

Kamarion Graham paced the boys' outfit with a first-place time of 6.36 seconds in the 55 meter dash, breaking his own school record of 6.73 seconds. He also set a new school mark in the 300 meter dash with a time of 36.36.

He will participate on the state level in both events.

Tayquan Graham also qualified for the state meet, finishing with a time of 6.62 seconds in the 55 meter dash.

Accomplished runner DeShawn Owens continued his stellar senior campaign, finishing first in the 1,600 meter run with a time of 4:43, and the 1,000 meter run with a mark of 2:52.
