GOLF --Aycock arrives for 3-A State Championship

FOXFIRE VILLAGE -- The Charles B. Aycock girls' golf team arrived at Foxfire Village on Saturday for a practice round ahead of its appearance in next week's N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-A state golf championship.
Over several hours today, the trio of Abby Sauls, Leah Campbell and Savannah Strickland toured the Red Fox Course, one of two layouts on the resort property.
On Monday, the Lady Blues will begin play at the 5,645 yard layout at 9:39 a.m. in a pairing with Northern Guilfrod and Marvin Ridge.
The tournament concludes on Tuesday afternoon.
