FRANKLINTON -- The Lady Blues of Charles B. Aycock advanced to the second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association volleyball playoffs on Saturday with a 3-0 spill of Franklinton High.

The road victory, a 25-19, 25-19, 25-19 clinic, was helmed by senior Arlanda Faulkner, who had 22 kills, 22 digs and four aces.

Libero Cassandra Lassiter served well and supplied 22 digs, while Hannah Carter generated 36 assists.

Daelyn Brock added 13 kills and sophomore Victoria Patnaude supplied seven blocks.

"We never game them an opportunity to breathe," head coach Tangela Faulkner said of the proceedings. "We were serving on the whistle."

CBA will next face No. 8 seed Union-Pines on Tuesday in Cameron.
