Volleyball -- Neuse Charter 3, North Duplin 1

North Duplin fell to Neuse Charter on Monday in the Carolina 1-A volleyball tournament by a 19-25, 19-25, 25-18, 19-25 margin.
Anna Thornton paced the Lady Rebels with nine service aces and 25 assists. Callie Thornton registered 10 kills and nine digs, while Taylor Walker provided seven digs.
Abbey Pate tallied 15 digs, and Kenzie Taylor supplied four blocks.
"Overall, (a) solid season," head coach Laura Thornton said. "Girls did great, but we can always do better... we came up short in finishing out a few key games. New playoff qualifications for 1-A... placements will be announced Thursday and we will see how it turns out."
North Duplin is 10-8 overall, and 5-7 in matters of Carolina 1-A significance.
