CROSS COUNTRY --CBA's Owens breaks school record in Greenville

GREENVILLE -- D.H. Conley ruled the ECC Cross Country meet held on Wednesday at Boyd Lee Park, conquering both the boys and girls divisions.
Charles B. Aycock runners Davis Carroll, DeShawn Owens and Sara Gregory performed well, logging top-10 finishes and collecting All-Conference honors.
Owens broke the school record with a time of 17:04.
Southern Wayne placed fifth overall, spurred by personal-best times from Ezekiel Harris, Wyatt Womble, Wuilmer Velasquez, Alyssa Rose and Elvia Morales.
