The Lady Dubs of Eastern Wayne finished their season on Thursday with an 8-1 triumph over ECC foe and county rival Southern Wayne.
Leading the charge was Bella Bowen, who defeated Kasey Vann 6-1, 6-1.
Emily Stratton (6-0, 6-3), Amelia Dunmire (6-3, 6-2), Ava Bowen (6-1, 6-1) and Bess Gibson (6-2, 6-1) also filed singles victories for Eastern Wayne, who finished 5-10 overall this season.
Southern Wayne's Kayla Raynor secured the only point for the Halos with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph over Maddie Agner.
Eastern Wayne swept all three doubles matches.
"We finished the year out on a victory despite a tough conference schedule this year," head coach Craig Hassell noted. "These young ladies could have easily shrugged off the rest of the year after some tough early losses, but instead used it as movitation to get better, led by a tough, competitive captain in Bella Bowen. I've never coached a player that got the most out of her potential and just poured her heart and soul into the sport... these qualities are what make Bella a winner on the athletic field and life."
