PREP FOOTBALL; Wayne Christian falls to Parrott

KINSTON -- Parrott Academy raced to a four-touchdown lead in the first quarter and rolled past Wayne Christian, 88-28, on Friday evening.
Austin Kornegay and Moe Brooks emerged as the offensive leaders for the Eagles, who dropped to 0-2 overall this season.
Kornegay hauled in a 53-yard touchdown pass from Jaxon Bauer with 5:42 left in the first quarter. Kornegay also ran in a pair of two-point conversions.
Brooks broke free for TD runs of 16 and 56 yards. He finished the night with 133 yards on 22 carries.
Bauer added a 9-yard TD burst in the second quarter. A junior, Bauer completed three passes for 73 yards. Will White hauled in two receptions for 20 yards.
Wayne Christian travels to Faith Christian-Rocky Mount next Thursday.
