PREP VOLLEYBALL: CBA upends Hunt in 4 sets

PIKEVILLE -- Charles B. Aycock rebounded from a second-set loss to defeat Big East 3-A member Hunt 25-17, 22-25, 25-12, 25-20 on Thursday evening.
Victoria Patnaude filed a career-high eight solo blocks and three assists for the Golden Falcons, who evened their worksheet at 1-1 overall this season.
Arlanda Faulkner hammered out 24 kills and Daelyn Brock added 11. CBA had 44 kills as a team and hit .333 for the week.
Five Golden Falcons recorded double figures in digs -- Cassandra Lassiter (team-high 28), Brock (16), Faulkner (15), Hannah Carter (11) and DeKiya Thomas (11).
Carter dished out 34 assists.
