Avante George rushed 108 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries during the Eagles' 34-12, non-conference win over North Johnston on Thursday evening. George broke free for TD runs of 24 and 11 yards. Christian Decatur added 12-yard touchdown burst and registered six tackles on defense. Davion Thompson accounted for two touchdowns -- a 41-yard scoring strike from quarterback Will Harris and a five-yard fumble return. Elijah Joyner emerged as the defensive leader with 10 tackles. Keith Jones supplied six stops and two assists. The Eagles improved to 2-0 overall this season.
