North Johnston snapped Princeton's two-match win streak with a 6-0 victory Tuesday.
"The girls played very hard in some extreme temperations," PHS head coach Christy Klein said. "Although (we) carried a loss, we feel positive we will grow. Every game we played created tight scoring with several games going into deuce. We have to learn how to finish for the win and take chances."
The Bulldogs opened the season with back-to-back 6-3 victories over Goldsboro and county rival Smithfield-Selma. Jasmine Rubio and doubles partner Cailee Vetrano were cited by Klein for their solid efforts.
Princeton traveled to Spring Creek today.
