GREENVILLE -- Rosewood prevailed at No. 3 doubles during its 8-1, non-conference loss to East Carteret on Tuesday afternoon.
The tandem of Emily Kornegay-Lexi Clucas pulled out an 8-7 (5) victory over the Mariners' duo of Sarah Humphries-Alli Kittrell.
"We learned a lot about ourselves in this match ... still have a lot of work to do," first-year RHS head coach Daniel Baynes said. "I was proud of how the girls rebounded. They're already ready to get back at it and work hard to become a better team."
