CALYPSO -- Will Archer and Colby Bass combined for five rushing touchdowns, and North Duplin steamrolled West Columbus, 46-12, at H.E. Grubbs Field on Friday evening.

It was the season opener for both teams.

Archer scrambled for TD runs on 32, 15 and 19 yards -- and concluded the night with 116 yards on 11 carries. The senior quarterback added a pair of two-point conversions.

Bass posted two touchdowns -- a 4-yard ramble in the second quarter and a 50-yard gallop in the fourth. He emerged as the game's top ball carrier with 117 yards on just eight attempts.

Saul Mendoza provided a 3-run TD.

North Duplin churned out 415 yards of total offense -- all on the ground. Archer was 0-for-1 passing.

The Rebels (1-0 overall) play host to Pinetown-Northside next Friday.
