PREP VOLLEYBALL: Roberts powers Goldsboro past Rosewood

McKayla Roberts turned in a 12-kill performance as Goldsboro swept county rival Rosewood 26-24, 25-16, 25-23 inside Norvell T. Lee Gym on Monday evening.
Roberts filed a .455 hitting with just two errors in 22 attempts and logged a team-high three blocks.
Amber Pfennig contributed eight kills.
Riley Howell dished out 19 assists.
Fayth Serlick and Nikki Olmsted served four aces apiece. Marcy Taylor supplied three aces.
Dakota Jones and Pfennig paced the defense with 11 and 10 digs, respectively.
The Cougars (2-1 overall) travel to Hobbton on Wednesday.
