ECBL: Rosewood holds off South Lenoir

DEEP RUN -- Rosewood fended off a furious seventh-inning rally and turned back South Lenoir, 3-2, in an Eastern Carolina Baseball League affair Monday evening.
The Eagles led 3-0 after 61/2 innings.
The Blue Devils closed the gap to 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh, but couldn't complete their comeback attempt.
Logan Price (RBI) and Tanner McKeel cranked out two hits apiece for Rosewood, which improved to 5-5-1 overall this season. Will Albert, Tanner Capps, W. Harris and Spencer Riggs (RBI) each recorded one hit.
Albert, Logan Merritt and Conner Wise and Price combined for a six-hitter and eight strikeouts on the mound.
