ATLANTIC BEACH -- The crew aboard the boat Floar Plan, owned by Anthony Floars of Goldsboro, hooked and released a white marlin Tuesday afternoon during the 59th annual Big Rock Blue Marlin Tournament.

Captained by Brent Gaskill, the anglers pocketed a $1,000 paycheck for landing a 30.3-pound dolphin.

Two other boats from Goldsboro -- Gambler and Huntress -- are also participating in the week-long event. Gambler is owned by Gambler Sportfishing and captained by Neil Hine. Max Weaver is the captain of Huntress, which is owned by Huntress Sport Fishing, LLC.

Matt Hanley, aboard the Run Off, reeled in a 533.8-pound blue marlin -- the largest of the tournament thus far. Weldors Ark and White Caps are second and third, respectively, in the Blue Marlin Division.
