PREP BASEBALL: Wayne Christian's Foster tosses no-hitter

Holden Foster tossed a mercy-rule shortened no-hitter and posted nine strikeouts Wayne Christian dismantled Pope John Paul, 17-0, on the Coastal Plains Independent 1-A Conference scene Thursday afternoon.
Foster threw 44 pitches -- 29 strikes.
Luke Suggs, Travis Kornegay and Will White combined to drive in nine runs during the 21/2- inning affair. Suggs and White each batted 2-for-3. Kornegay was 2-for-2.
Addison Johnson, Holden Foster (RBI), Ted Suggs (three RBI), Jaxon Anderson (two RBI), Jaxon Bauer (two RBI) and Corbett Schaefer (RBI) cranked out hit apiece.
WCS had three extra-base knocks as a team.
