Case Kermode and Mitch Turnage combined for six hits as Wayne Country Day rolled past Oakwood, 17-3, in non-conference play Thursday afternoon.
Kermode drove in a pair of runs.
John Strickland doubled and tripled, and plated three runs. Tanner Willman filed two hits and a career-high four RBI. Amane Godo turned in a two-hit, two-RBI outing.
Avery Browning (two RBI) and Zach Barfield also contributed to the Chargers' offensive attack.
Jack Talton went the distance on the cliff. He surrendered three runs (two earned) on five hits, three walks and a balk.
"This was one of the best games we've played all year hitting-wise," WCDS head coach Michael Taylor said. "We ran the bases really well today and took advantage of some walks...they only had one error on defense so we had some great at-bats seeing a lot of pitches."
The Chargers (13-5 overall) return home today to face nemesis Greenfield. Four WCDS seniors -- Turnage, Strickland, Barfield and Jon Bryan -- will play their final regular-season home game.
