GIRLS' SOCCER: Princeton blanks North Duplin

PRINCETON -- Veronica Blackman delivered a career-high four goals as Princeton dominated Carolina 1-A Conference foe North Duplin, 8-0, at Harvey Brooks Field on Thursday evening.
Allie Britt, Hannah Horne, Madison Adkins and Kiana Brewton collected one goal apiece. Britt dished out two assists. Brewton and freshman Jasmine Rubin each had one assist.
Horne (five saves) and Rubio combined for the shutout in goal.
One night earlier, Adkins punched in two goals and handed out two assists during the Bulldogs' 5-2 triumph over conference rival Hobbton.
Britt and sophomore Rachel Creech each scored once.
Blackman and Brewton each had an assist.
Horne started between the pipes and logged seven saves.
