CLINTON -- Spring Creek and Lakewood shared third place overall during the team portion of the season-ending Carolina 1-A Conference tournament contested on the soggy Lakewood Country Club sinks Tuesday afternoon.
The Gators slushed their way to a four-player score of 407 and punched their ticket for the Midwest 1-A Regional, which is scheduled for May 1 at Goldsboro Municipal Golf Club. Tee time is 1 p.m.
Tate West emerged as SC's leader with a 90, followed by Koltyn Vermazen (100), Matt Herring (102) and Damon Barwick (115).
Rosewood's tandem of Cameron Klages and Noah Grantham qualified as individuals for regional play.
James Kenan's Cole Pridgen secured medalist honors with a 75 and led the Tigers to the regular-season championship. They -- along with Spring Creek -- will move into the newly-realigned East Central 2-A Conference on July 1.
Andrew Cruse paced North Duplin with a 99.
