POSTPONEMENTS: Inclement weather induces changes

Tuesday's heavy rainfall and subsequent flooding caused several schools in the News-Argus readership area to cancel events.
-- Outdoor track: Eastern Wayne will have to wait another 24 hours to host its first meet in more than a decade. The Warriors will unveil their new 7-lane track when they entertain county rivals Southern Wayne and Charles B. Aycock on Thursday. The meet starts at 4 p.m.
-- Tennis: The three-team Carolina 1-A Conference men's individual championships were rescheduled for Thursday at Herman Park. First serve is 10 a.m. on the John Allen Farfour Courts.
The Eastern Carolina 3-A men's individual tournament is now Thursday at Charles B. Aycock. Singles and doubles play begins at 2 p.m. on the Luke Vail Tennis Courts.
