WILSON -- Eastern Wayne erupted for five first-inning runs and cruised past Northern Nash, 9-2, on the final day of the fourth annual Golden Leaf Invitational.

Jay Wiseman slugged a home run -- his only hit of the game -- and collected three RBI for the Warriors. High Point U commit Tanner Wells batted 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Drew Barnes (RBI), Ryan Sullivan (RBI), Landon Ginn (RBI) and Andrew Fricks (RBI) delivered one hit apiece. Colby Miller provided an RBI and scored two runs. Barnes and Fricks each stole one base.

EW benefited from six walks, two hit batsmen and two NN errors.

Wells claimed the mound win -- a six-inning stint that included seven hits, two earned runs and five strikeouts. Sullivan tossed one inning of two-hit relief.
