GIRLS' TRACK: Golden Falcons fare well in road meet

GREENVILLE -- Lexus Pridgen, Arlanda Faulkner, Cyerra Carter and Sarah Gregory combined for seven individual victories during a four-team Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference meet contested at J.H. Rose on Wednesday afternoon.
Pridgen heaved the discus a meet-winning 66 feet.
Faulkner won the long jump (15 feet, 9 inches) and 100-meter hurdles (17.49 seconds). She took second in the triple jump (33-3).
Carter placed first in the triple jump (34-11) and 400 dash (1:02.03), and second in the long jump (15-5.5).
Distance specialist Sarah Gregory topped the competition in the half-mile run (2:41.36) and one-mile run (1600 meters) in a personal-best 5:59. She won the county championship with a PR of 6:10 in the 1,600 on Monday.
Bre'onna Bryant took second in the 400.
