UMO: Princeton's Bayles breaks another UMO record

Bayles breaks own mark
ELON -- For the second time in as many meets, University of Mount Olive's Martin Bayles broke his own school record in the pole vault during the Phoenix Invitational hosted by Elon University.
The sophomore cleared a height of 4.30 meters.
Senior Ben Veith entered the UMO record book for the first time with a 40.59-meter throw in the javelin.
Tedric Shannon (400 dash) and Kyle Swartz (hammer throw) each moved into second place all-time in program history in their respective events.
On the women's side, Malak Kafi and Shana Riffle established new school records in the 100 hurdles and high jump, respectively.
The Trojans run again Saturday and Sunday at the Duke Invitational.
