BOYS' TENNIS: Spring Creek tops Princeton

Spring Creek pulled out a pair of third-set tiebreakers in singles play and upended Carolina 1-A Conference foe Princeton, 5-4, on Tuesday afternoon.
The Gators' Elias Soto bounced back from an opening-set loss to defeat Alan Farrior 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-3) at the No. 2 flight. Teammate Rolando Rios also overcame a first-set loss and outlasted Montrez Levi 4-6, 6-4, 1-0 (10-7).
Aubrey Pollock won 6-4, 6-0 at No. 5 singles, which helped create a 3-3 tie heading into doubles play. Soto-Lowell Smothers and Rios-Joseph Lebron each emerged victorious in doubles to seal the overall outcome.
Princeton got individual wins from top-seeded Jacob Williams, third-seeded Lane Woodall and fourth-seeded Blaine Phillips. Phillips-Farrior won at No. 2 doubles.
