* Baseball: Hunt 14, C.B. Aycock 6 -- The Golden Falcons managed just five hits -- one each by Tyrie Artis, Blake Dilda (RBI), Noah Honrine (RBI), Jakob Prebe (two RBI) and Trey Smith. Kaleb Moore collected an RBI. Patrick Clark started and took the mound loss for CBA. Blake Daniels and Caleb Davis threw in relief. The Golden Falcons fell to 2-3 overall this season.
Middle schools
* Baseball: Norwayne 15, Mount Olive 0 (3 inn.) -- Dennis Daingerfield emerged as the winning pitcher, recording four strikeouts and yielded a line-drive single by the Chargers' Paul Van Dyke. Austin Booth capped the third inning -- and game -- with a strikeout. Daingerfield supplied a first-inning RBI single. Mason Bailey paced Norwayne's offense with two hits and four RBI. Hunter Robinson knocked in three runs. Chris Crow delivered two RBI. The Cobras (2-0 overall) entertain Rosewood on Monday.
