BASEBALL: Horn guides Rams over Saints

SNOW HILL -- Tyler Horn registered two RBI and a solo home run as Greene Central knocked off Southern Wayne 5-3 Monday evening.

The Rams' Dylan Benton went four innings, gave up one hit and tallied six strikeouts. Jamie Brady went 1-for-3 with two RBI, Hunter Moore went 2-for-2 and Dane Hedgepeth recorded one hit and one RBI.

Southern Wayne's Manny Walker nailed an RBI-triple. Casbarro, Lance Wise, Noah Horton, Josh Grady each had one hit apiece.

Lance Wise went 1 1/3 innings, gave up four runs and picked up the lost. Justin Edwards pitched two innings of relief and allowed one run on two hits and struck-out one. Derek Holsinger pitched 3 2/3 innings. He gave up no runs, one hit struck-out five.

Southern Wayne travels to Hoggard on Wednesday. Greene Central visits Farmville Central on Friday.
