BOYS' BASKETBALL: C.B. Aycock falls to New Bern

PIKEVILLE -- New Bern pitched a third-quarter shutout and slipped past Charles B. Aycock, 52-47, in an Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference game Friday evening.
The Bears trailed 26-20 at halftime and outscored their hosts 12-0 in the third period.
Javon Outlaw led CBA's offense with 13 points. Marquez Farmer scored 10 points, followed by Eli Batts with nine. The trio combined to make 11 of the Golden Falcons' 15 field goals for the game.
Batts finished 5 of 5 at the charity stripe.
