GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Eagles' Lane knocks down game-winning shot

Payton Lane drained the game-winning shot with 5.5 seconds remaining, and Rosewood turned back James Kenan, 44-42, on the Carolina 1-A Conference scene Wednesday evening.
Lane ended the night with 11 points, four assists and one steal.
Braylee Butts provided 20 points. Nekia Williams supplied seven points, eight rebounds and three steals. Hannah Daniels contributed five points, four steals and pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.
Rosewood (10-9 overall, 8-2 CC) entertains Spring Creek on Friday.
