TARBORO -- Sophomore Tim Decatur earned his 100th career win and Rosewood claimed the 2017 Carolina/Two Rivers/Coastal Ten Class 1-A dual-team regular-season wrestling championship Thursday evening.

The duals were moved up two days due to the threat of Winter Storm Helena, who is expected to dump three or more inches of snow in the area early Saturday morning.

Decatur became the 49th member of Rosewood's Century Club when he pinned Neuse Charter's Franko Cuccurello with 27 seconds remaining in the first period of their 120-pound bout. He ended the day 3-0.

The Eagles (30-2 overall) allowed just 21 points in four matches, including six each in wins over Princeton, Neuse Charter and Manteo. Tarboro managed just three points against Rosewood, which won its 21st conference title -- the most of any sports program in school history.

Christian Decatur, Reid Amodeo, Louis Tortual and Joey Behrend each posted a 4-0 worksheet. Heavyweight Nyterrius Williams, Chris Hill, David Brown, Hunter Weeks, Jayden Thomas, Seth Finney and Jacob Brown each emerged 3-0.

In all, 18 Rosewood grapplers combined for 50 individual wins -- 18 pins, five decisions, three major decisions, one technical fall and 23 forfeits.

The Eagles punched their ticket to the N.C. High School Athletic Association 1-A dual-team playoffs. They'll begin defense of their state title on Jan. 31.
