GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Chargers fall to Oakwood

DURHAM -- Lexi Jeffreys notched a double-double -- 17 points, 12 rebounds -- as Wayne Country Day fell to Oakwood, 51-46, in the championship game of the Lady Viking Holiday Classic hosted by Voyager Academy.
Jeffreys earned a nod on the all-tournament team along with guard Jala Holloman, who pumped in 16 points.
The Chargers (8-5 overall) return to action Wednesday against Wilmington Christian on day one of the Cape Fear Academy Holiday Challenge.
