GIRLS' BASKETBALL: Raleigh Sanderson slips by Rosewood

RALEIGH -- Sophomore Braylee Butts provided a game-high 22 points during Rosewood's 44-41 loss to Sanderson in opening-round play of the Summerfield Holiday Hoop Classic contested at Word of God Academy.
Butts dished out six assists, picked Sanderson for three steals and snared two rebounds. Senior Payton Lane contributed points, six assists, five steals and two rebounds.
Rosewood faces Word of God today. Tip-off is 6 p.m.
