BASKETBALL: Lady Saints notch first victory

DUDLEY -- Samiya Bess posted a double-double and led the Saints to a 43-35 victory over North Lenoir on Monday.

Bess scored a game-high 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Iyahna Bess added 12 points.

Southern Wayne (1-2) hosts Goldsboro on Wednesday.
